Attorney Matthew R. Wilson to Speak at AAJ Class Action Seminar

Matthew R. Wilson, Esq., a principal with Meyer Wilson, is featured as a guest speaker at the American Association for Justice’s upcoming Class Action Seminar. The seminar is being held today at The Westin New York at Times Square in New York City.

A nationally recognized attorney who devotes his practice to class and mass actions on behalf of plaintiffs, Matt is speaking about large-scale cases involving the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).

A frequent lecturer on class action law and practice, Matt has particular experience with these class actions, and the TCPA in particular, having secured some of the country’s largest nationwide consumer settlements since the TCPA was enacted in 1991. His cases include a $75.5 million settlement against Capital One, the largest all-cash TCPA settlement in history, a $39.9 million settlement against HSBC Bank, and two other multi-million dollar settlements which were the largest all-cash TCPA settlements at the time they were finalized. He has also served as co-counsel in a series of TCPA cases against Wells Fargo which resulted in five separate settlements totaling over $70 million in cash for consumers.

AAJ seminars such as this one provides attorneys from around the country with an opportunity to learn from accomplished and proven class and mass action lawyers such as Matt, and gain invaluable insight they can use when helping their own clients.
